Day 67 - Ride Like A Thriver

Every day we wake SO grateful to God for breath in our lungs, for a new day to smile and live, and to get to hold hands together one more day.

Scary accidents do that. Major diagnosis wake us up to the brevity of life.

Each day is a gift from Him.

We headed southwest from our RV Park along Lake Pontchartrain towards New Orleans.

One of the RV office ladies gave me a tip to park Howie at the Basin St Station. You pay per parking spot and we were able to unload our electric scooters and ride the the waterfront from there!

So many details on the old buildings…

We rode our scooters around town…

We found Cafe Du Monde, known for its coffee and beignets (but we liked the ones we had in Baton Rouge way better!)

We headed back along the old streets…

As we rode down this street lined with Psychics and fortune tellers I felt the Holy Spirit call me to pray and prophecy over each of them (probably not loud enough for anyone to hear, my voice no longer carries, but the darkness heard - my arms were feeling major goose bumps) Perhaps no one had prayed against darkness in that street today.

It’s hot here

We are slowly collecting stickers to put on our scooters!

We ordered lunch and a light dinner for later.

We scootered our way back to Howie and loaded up for our 1.5 hour ride to the next RV park along the beach in Biloxi, Mississippi.

We missed the “Welcome to Mississippi” sign and had a sad moment missing Chuck actually riding his bike into the state. But we are incredibly thankful he can drive.

We will be on the bike route again at the RV park so Chuck will give it a go for a bit in the morning and see how he feels. (He rode around the RV park last night and felt good on a new bike.)

Such beautiful shades of green

Yes. Yes He is!

We love the pool at the RV park we are staying at in Biloxi, Mississippi.

Tomorrow we start the bike ride again, the bike trail is right on the road outside of our park, along the beach.

Stretching felt so good for Chuck.

Crawfish Quiche and a salad for dinner from the Coffee shop we had lunch at today in New Orleans. It’s probably the best quiche I've had in a long time!! It’s been a little trick we’ve used recently when we have a “really” yummy lunch,, we order dinner for at night. It’s been especially great in areas with phenomenal food!

We rode the electric scooters across the street to watch the sunset.

So beautiful. Thank you God!

It was just so beautiful and peaceful.

Thank you Jesus for a beautiful day and giving us swimming pools to cool off in while in these ridiculously hot & muggy states!
