Day 44 - Ride Like A Thriver

It’s Tuesday. We haven't been on the road with our daily biking for over 10 days! First it was because of mechanical issues with the bike which brought us to Austin, Texas. And then because we were ahead of schedule, we took a detour up to Waco!
Hannah had to fly back and forth to Scottsdale from San Antonio (planned 6 weeks ago) on Friday and on Saturday we realized she needed to catch up on missing sleep and Howie needed some maintenance. But the RV mechanics were closed on the weekends!

So we got Howie all fixed up on Monday and Chuck had to take an Uber up to the mechanic this morning. Wolf was his Uber driver!

Picking Howie up from the doctor…

And God put Cherne in Chuck's path - she just found a lump and Chuck was able to encourage and pray for her!

Catch the morning update…

Howie is BACK and all lubed up

Jax is SO BUSTED!! (Caught him snoozing on the hotel bed while in the shower😆)

We ate leftovers for lunch as we plowed through the hard work of back tracking the bike route from our final destination in St Augustine, Florida on June 10 to tomorrow.
Two hours later, we completed the map with 2 days of wiggle room somewhere in the next 30 days. We have learned to build in a a fail safe to our schedule for the unplanned extras!

We are SO looking forward to visiting Baton Rouge & New Orleans.

We decided that our last San Antonio adventure would be to eat at Chart House on top of Tower of the Americas.

We got to know our neighbors in our RV campground since we had been there since last Thursday and wanted to go for a meal before we left. They hadn't been to this restaurant either.

Hensley and Alfreda are such a lovely couple living their lives for Jesus. We had such great conversation and laughs! And the food was so good!

It was quite a quick trip up in the elevator!

Our waiters were so fun and just burst into song - a little Top Gun throw back!

Dessert was a Chocolate Molten Pie that was delicious!

The fountains outside were beautiful.

What a beautiful evening getting treated to an amazing dinner by wonderful new friends.
We are so grateful for these experiences!
