Day 22 - Ride Like A Thriver

Today’s ride should take us into Las Cruces, New Mexico

We had a relaxing ride (in between pumping up the he back tire)

Chuck had to pump up the rear tire 4 times and we decided to find a Bike Shop in Las Cruces

At the bike shop we met the owner Dave who broke his Tibia (lower leg bone) on his first mount of Kilimanjaro, rehabbed back and successfully climbed it!

The tech replaced a liner inside the bike tire and we are hoping that will be the fix! Chuck also has another type of inner tube.

We decided to visit White Sands National Park. It was a good 45 minute ride and worth the trip!

The park attendant gave us a free lifetime National Park pass!

Jax absolutely loves the sand, ANYWHERE!

Amazing! After being bedridden 3 months ago and in a wheelchair 2 months ago, Hannah had no problem climbing up and down the dunes today!

Howie is looking good out there!

We got back to Las Cruces around 5 pm and pulled into Sunny Acres “hoping” for an available spot! We were without cell reception most of the afternoon.

The ingredients Hannah found in the fridge HAD to turn into Taco Salad! A mango, an avocado, chicken, fresh spinach, coleslaw, a tomato, and a lime. It’s definitely time to go food shopping again tomorrow on our Rest Day!

We ended up getting interviewed by the Silver City newspaper during dinner. The article should publish on Wednesday. The holiday weekend kept them busy so we missed connecting in person.

Another beautiful shaded spot with a patio. We have had so much variety with campgrounds and this is one of the nicer ones so far! (Except no pool!)

We met our neighbor Elizabeth…

A stunning New Mexico sunset

And to finish our day, we met Stephanie & Harold (a Stage 2 cancer survivor) and swapped our amazing God stories.

Another full fun day packed with blessings.
