Day 47 - Ride Like A Thriver
Today we rode from Cagle Creek Park to Coldspring, Texas. We are now in East Texas. The insects are plentiful, the humidity high, and the hills are long.
This roads today are beautiful but it’s become impossible to tail Chuck with flashers on. The speed limit is 70 on these 1-lane roads and it’s been impossible to stay together.
It’s always SAFETY FIRST!
We are always happy when the days apart on the road are over. It’s way more fun when we can stick together!
We finally pulled into Coldspring riding straight through and arriving close to 11 am.
It was time for lunch where we met this lovely family whose niece is going through cancer. They prayed together.
Love the inscription: May all who pass this statue be reminded of our Lord.
We are staying close to another Lake.
We stopped for gas next to “The Spot” and met Dan (who lives at the RV park we are staying at!) His wife passed away from cancer and he needed someone to talk to. He invited us to dinner tomorrow.
And we went food shopping in the only grocery store and met Denna
We are staying at Camp Jason RV RESORT.
Chuck got a ride with our new friend Dan (from the gas station who also is our neighbor 2 doors down!) to the local market and scored us a thin crust pizza. We had a 5 pm zoom meeting and it saved us from having to cook dinner at 4 pm!
We were finally able to finish posting on this blog being without internet access for 2 days!
