Day 19 - Ride Like A Thriver

It’s Rest Day in Silver City, New Mexico. We are using our morning to get all the chores done that we normally don't get to on Bike days.

Chuck made us blueberry pancakes!

We typically run 3 loads of laundry at the campground laundromat - the best part is it takes the same time as one load when you can do that all at once in different machines!

Our list is kind of long today so we “divide and conquer” our tasks!

Today’s Howie project is calking the holes of past window treatment hardware. It’s just a temporary fix but it looks nice to have the holes filled in!

Chuck also filled up our fresh water tank. We fill it up every few days when we stay at a campground. We use it to shower, wash our hands & dishes, and to flush the toilet.

Chuck put out the awning & our rug so we can sit outside for lunch. The weather is beautiful here, sunny & in the mid-60’s

Hannah's hair is still bald in large areas so today is shaving day again. And the not so exciting chores of cleaning the bathroom, vacuuming, and re-organizing some of the closets & clothes.

The neighbor’s cat Otis came by for a visit. Jax just wasn't interested in him! That’s the second cat in two days that he has completely ignored. He’s more of a dog fella.

Chuck is swapping out new parts for the worn ones!

Our campground neighbors lent us their EBikes for the afternoon!! Wow! The trick with RV camping with a motor home is how to see places without unhooking every time we have a rest day. This was SO fun!

It was Hannah's first time on a bike since last September!

Our awesome campground neighbors!

Then we met Dave & Laura on a corner in town.

Not 10 minutes later, they showed up at our restaurant and we invited them over. We ended up talking for 1.5 hours sharing our story of Hope. We parted with hugs and tears!

Jax was VERY happy when we got home and found a stick to play fetch with!

We ended the day fuller than it began with new friends, new experiences, and a joyful heart

Only God knew we’d BOTH end up on a bike on REST DAY!

Good Night Moon.
