Day 38 - Ride Like A Thriver
We woke up to the beautiful peaceful countryside of Waco at our campground at Creek Farms.
It’s a work day with laundry and cleaning ahead. Fueled by coffee and prayer, we began our day.
We literally had the closest parking spot to the laundry building and exactly 3 washing machines were empty for our 3 loads.
Hannah deep cleaned the bathrooms, tidied up and started the laundry. Chuck vacuumed & deep cleaned all the surfaces & floors. We thrive with team work😁
And happily enjoyed a quick lunch.
We sat by the river and enjoyed the afternoon breezes on e all our chores were done.
Our update;
We met Lori on our way back to Howie…
Chuck uses an electrolyte product in his daily drinks on his ride by the company LMNT (pronounced “element”) We decided to make Margaritas using the powder as our “salt.”
Hannah made a simple Nachos dinner using ground chicken, some of our frozen Hatch chiles from Hatch, New Mexico that we bought, an avocado, sharp shredded cheddar, a fresh chopped tomato, fresh cilantro, and fresh salsa
The sheep were grazing right in the pasture near us on the other side of the river. It was fun watching the Pyrenees dogs herding them.
After Dinner Chuck walked over to our neighbors and met Pastor Robert Huff and 4-time cancer survivor.
The people we meet and relationships we establish has been one of the most special parts of this ride.
