Day 40 - Ride Like A Thriver
Up at 5:30 am to discover Hannah's flight was delayed 30 minutes. We were thankful the airport was only 11 minutes away!
We still had to make the time to unhook and secure Howie for a ride on the highway.
After Hannah got dropped off, Jax wanted to know, “Where did Mommy go?”
Chuck & Jax went exploring along the San Antonio River Walk.
Then Chuck met these beautiful strangers…
Hannah had great conversations with both her seat mates. One whose wife had lost her eye to cancer and he spoke so beautifully of her courage and overcoming all of the losses to regain driving.
Aaron tapped on Hannah's arm and asked her if she could share the story with him. He is part of a local church in the area and was encouraged by the story.
Two hours later, Hannah arrived in Phoenix.
Mary picked her up at the airport and chauffeured her around ALL day. First stop was back home to sort through 6 weeks of mail and picking up a few things from the house. Mary then treated them to lunch at Hannah's favorite local restaurant
And she bumped in neighbor and dear friends Linda and Cathy!
And went to Dr Ahmad to get her hormone injections and bone strengthener injection and lab work drawn.
Meanwhile, back in San Antonio…
Chuck was being… Chuck. Sharing his love with everyone.
Back in Phoenix, Hannah got a big hug from sweet friend Amy and her yummy chocolates!
And got to snuggle with Mary's 4 dogs at her house for a bit. Jax will be beside himself when mama gets home!
And finally back to the airport to head back to Chuck & Jax, 45 minutes behind schedule.
Sooo thankful the RV park is only 11 minutes from the airport!
