Day 25 - Ride Like A Thriver
Are we REALLY 1/3 of the way into our 75 day trip?
Today we left El Paso, escaped some of the bad air due to people burning some strange things to keep warm (I guess 66° is cold to some folks!) and are making our way East, mostly hugging the Mexican Border. We’ve caught glimpses here and there.
We finished our SECOND paper map of the bike route and will be riding through Texas, our 4th state for the next month!
We’ve been watching the Mexican border wall on our right.
Break time! We bought yummy pean raisin crisps to snack on with our coffee.
Off to find somewhere to park for the night. We may have to Boondock.
We found a little ghost town off the bike route. We thought we would have to Boondock and we found a tiny RV park so we can hookup to power.
We had some fun taking pictures of abandoned buildings.
We hooked up our power at the local RV park we found and Johnny faves us a discount after he heard our story!
Resting for a bit.
Chuck explored some abandoned buildings across the street.
Take a tour in the abandoned hotel across the street!
Take a ride down Main Street
We had a simple meal: Spinach Feta Turkey Burger and Sautéed potatoes, Brussel Sprouts, Mushrooms, and Roasted Red Bell Pepper
