Day 32 - Ride Like A Thriver

We had a long list of things to get done. The obvious laundry, (especially after letting someone sleep on our sofa bedding - it was time for a full cleaning!) bathroom cleaning, floors…

We happily had the entire laundry to ourselves!

Love the flowers growing on the property

We had booked this Park a few days ago to double check if we could have an Amazon shipment sent to the office so we had spoken to the owner several times before we met. We needed coins for the laundry and ended up chatting for a half hour. She was born in Thailand and has an amazing story of how she came to own the Park.

The property has the cutest cats

Jax had to keep his eye on them

We spent the morning doing odd jobs like making a new “screen door” out of our favorite pizza!

And replacing broken cell phone covers

Then we got a call from the front office that a package arrived…

We thought we would have to brave the very busy road to take us to the store but Ratana, the owner, saw us and offered to drive the 2 miles down the street which gave us lovely time to chat some more!

We loved our pizza so much that we stopped at Lou’s Woodfire Pizza and ordered calzones.

They were seriously the best calzones we have EVER eaten! Wow!

We decorated our new scooters and can’t wait to try them out (when there is NO gravel and actual pavement!)

We worked on our mapping and planning today for the next week till May 6. Hannah is scheduled to fly in to Phoenix from San Antonio, TX. We figured out a schedule which would get us into Fredericksburg on Thursday and allow us to stay at a RV Park the night before her flight on Friday. Chuck & Jax will stay behind with Howie and pick her up again Friday evening.
Hannah has a brain MRI and her monthly injections which can only be given by her provider (we checked!) She has several friends lined up to bring her to her appointments and back to the airport.

Chuck also tightened some of Howie's screws to make him work like new (or at least like 1997 new!)

There was a knock on outdoor and our RV park host stood there holding a bottle of wine and a mini orchid! “For Mother's Day,” she said.
We will remember to pray for her as we gaze at that perfect little orchid that sits in the cup holder of our table.
