Day 6 - Ride Like A Thriver

Day 6 began early! It’s time to go to Arizona! One state down, 6 to go as we cross America from coast to coast!

Time to cross the river from California to Arizona!

Jax the co pilot! (He didn't think it was very funny!)

He bikes AND pumps gas.
We met up in Arizona because gas is a wee bit cheaper!

Acting like a tough guy 🤩

Getting ready for the uphill climbs!

Lots of cross winds and crummy black top today. We figured out a good method to stay on the line unless cars drove by. We love using the walkie talkies to communicate.

Everyday I pray for God to lead me to the next camping spot. I look at our bike route map and roughly plan out what the next day looks like and which area we will be in.

Today I just KNEW that we needed to stop in the town of Hope. I called the RV site 25 minutes before they closed and told the lady we would be there - it was worth waiting to hear our story. The last 6 miles was an uphill climb and I cheered Chuck on through our walkie talkie ear piece.

We arrived 10 minutes before she closed and Joice turns out to be a 30 year breast Cancer survivor who recently learned its back. (Please pray as she has scans soon!) She has her trust in God and we know God brought us to her today to love on her! And then she comps our night, full hookup, and our campsite is on Faith Ave. I can't make this stuff up!

Some may say it's happenstance - that we trip and fall into this stuff, but we call it the sovereign favor of God. We also just got invited to another camper's get together this afternoon! I love being in the middle of "no where" and God still brings people to share with!

Our Happy Hour invite ended up being a neighbor get together of the most beautiful people from all over America! They’ve all landed in Hope for different reasons, connected with each other, and share Saturday afternoons together. And we got invited into the middle of it, were blessed to share our story, and give God the glory.

We love just going with God’s flow, His plan is way better than we can imagine!

After enjoying our leftover Chinese food, we headed a few sites over to John & Wanda’s to watch the sunset over the desert & mountains while singing along with John’s guitar.
Thank you God, for a beautiful unexpected day in which everything was a gift!
