Day 70 - Ride Like A Thriver
Today is the day to get to Florida, our 8th state!!!
13 miles through Alabama to the border.
Time lapse through Alabama
Crossing the border was so surreal and very emotional - it’s been exactly 2 weeks since Chuck's crash
Thank you Jesus!
Still hot and sweaty
Florida dropped down to one lane with a pretty good bike lane so I waited a few miles behind.
Today's sponsor is a personal friends late Mom. I knew her as Mrs K and she was such an instrumental woman in my life for a few years while living and homeschooling my 4 boys.
We met this guy biking along the road!
This was Chuck's first time riding his bike over a bridge after his accident 14 days ago coming down the Audobon Bridge in Louisiana.
He prayed for strength and courage to face his fear
We made it to Pensacola Beach for our RV stay.
The Pensacola RV Resort sandwiched between the Gulf and the Sound. We were so hot that we changed into our suits and headed to the sound which was delightfully chilly!
After a few hours of work for the nonprofit, we decided to take our work along with us to dinner - hopping on our scooters a few blocks to the beach side.
Wow! The sand is so white and beautiful!
Yummy fish & shrimp tacos hit the spot!
Our waitress Aspen did a great job and put our sticker on our server book.
Goodnight Howie. Goodnight.
