Day 8 - Ride Like A Thriver
REST DAY! We had time to make pancakes and bacon for breakfast and enjoy an extra cup of coffee!
Our new friend Barbara (that Chuck met on his walk last evening) stopped by to exchange stories & lessons we've learned! We had a chance to pray for her next trip to another campground.
Rest Day also means shave day! Hannah's hair is growing in bands. Till it grows in evenly, we’ll keep on shaving it evenly!

Adam (Chuck's bike) got a good
cleaning and lube.
And Jax got a good brushing!!
Next up, a trip to town for a few supplies… but first we had to off-road our way out of the campground! CLICK PICTURE TO WATCH!
We got a new extra long poop hose - Howie's original one was well, let’s just say it wasn’t attaching as securely as necessary! Upgrades!
And some extra things from the food store…and God always brings us people needing to hear our cancer stories…a shopper, the manager, and the guy at the checkout counter.
Chuck & I laughed so hard when she brought me a single glove on a plate.

We FINALLY figured out it’s for the Salad Bar! Since COVID they provide a glove so you don’t share your hand germs on all of the handles! That made perfect sense!
We found a new quieter parking spot at the campground (NOT next to the RV running their very noisy generator 24/7!)
Jax approves. Although he still doesn't like the “Dirty Dogs” out in the desert. (That’s what he calls coyotes. Honest. He talks.)
We loved our waitress Jewel!!
A beautiful end to a beautiful day.
