Day 34 - Ride Like A Thriver
We woke up to a drizzly gray humid day with a threat of thunderstorms in the town we were heading to so we left camp at 7:40 am!
The middle of no where Texas
We got to Camp Wood around 12:30 pm and found a little restaurant for lunch.
We MUST be in Texas
And WHEN in Texas… click on picture below
We picked one of the RV parks in the area named “Nueces River RV Resort” and by the time we plugged, we found out the pool AND river didn't have any water in it😆 (there WAS water in it 1 mile up the river.
Hannah registered in the RV Office and met another biker named Cathy doing the same route as us. She is biking on her own with all her gear!
We met her later on while we rode our scooters around the park and she said she would accept some food for dinner.
Hannah had just listened to this chapter while driving this morning - “Be ready with a meal or a bed when it's needed.” Hebrews 13:2-3
It’s always exciting to hear other people’s stories and bike tips. Chuck brought over a bag of simple goodies. It was SO hot and humid.

Our dinner was very simple and easy!
Rolled up Chicken Apple sausage (cooked) sliced in half lengthwise with organic spinach and Hot Honey Gouda cheese (We found it at Walmart the other day and HAD to try it!) We heated them on a Panini press till melted.
Fresh pear slices, panini, and a raw cucumber, zucchini, and cauliflower salad with creamy balsamic dressing (leftover from our calzones!)
Tuning up the bike tire that’s acting a bit wonky.
You cant see it in the picture but there was a slight rainbow in the background.
Big storm brewing!
The Mountain View next to our campground! We find crosses everywhere!
Thank you Jesus!
