Day 58 - Ride Like A Thriver

Chuck Update-

Chuck is super sore this morning and has never been good at sitting still, so pray for him to have patience.

He is experiencing dizziness when he rolls over and is anxious for a shower but was contented with washing up in bed. (I reminded him I had to be in bed for 26 days this past December and I totally understood!)

He also needs to figure out which meds to actually be on & which doses so he doesn't feel "under water" all the time and fall asleep mid task. (I won't be able to help him physically when we are in the hotel.) I've been on the exact same meds so I can help him figure that out.

Today we practice being independent.

But first, a nap.

Jax is all in with the naps!

I'm reminded to keep reminding Chuck to focus on thanksgiving and praise. It's the BEST way out of frustration with your own limitations.

•Thank you gracious Father for LIFE and breath and all things.

•Thank you for protecting Chuck from devastating injury.

•Thank you for cushioning him.

•I pray that you would flood his body with Your supernatural healing power.

•May he be filled with your presence as he interacts with each new person that enters his room.

•Fill him with Your joy and hope and peace DESPITE his physical limitations

•We praise You our holy and merciful God.

•We speak life and healing and health over his body in Jesus Name!

Several of you have been asking how you can help. We are accepting donations to continue covering expenses on this trip. It's not over! Any amount.

He got to walk again and was much stronger today.

His doctor wanted to do a good work up on his heart and we met Darren, this awesome dude with a heart for God.

Chuck's heart looks good!

And these awesome Physical Therapists. They checked out his blood pressure sitting, standing, and laying and then Daniene identified he probably had a dislodged inner ear crystal or two!

She did an assessment on his right side and saw his eyes twitching a bit before they settled.

His left side was so bad that the first attempt got aborted.

Check out his second try!

We wereSO thrilled it was a success and that he likely has no concussion at all.

Miraculous!

There is the big selfie smile we all know and love!

Hannah has been staying in a hotel across the street from the hospital. She Lyfts back and forth each morning around 9 am and back around 5 pm with Jax.

Included is breakfast and dinner/Happy Hour which will be helpful when Chuck is discharged and needs to rehabilitate.

Lots of veggies, baked potato, and BBQ shredded pork. Each meal has been quite good (and i’m picky😆😃)

This is a gift!
